As a result of this growth, this is a newly created role reporting to the National HSE&Q Manager based in NSW. As such, you will have overall responsibility for enhancing the presence and purpose of the Safety function across Victoria, as well as facilitating ownership of safety issues. Your key objective will be to partner effectively with operational management to facilitate effective safety leadership and engagement at all levels. In addition, you will be responsible for the review, development and implementation of comprehensive Safety and Injury Management systems that contribute to a strategy of best practice process and results. You will achieve this through influencing, mentoring and hands-on support of teams across multiple sites.

With relevant formal qualifications, you must be able to demonstrate a proven record of success ideally within a logistics or transport environment, although this is not essential. You must also demonstrate the energy, drive and resilience to implement practical Safety solutions into the day to day operations. Your ability to effectively communicate, problem solve, influence and build credible relationship at all levels of the business will be critical to your success.
