With a genuine commitment to improving environmental performance and innovation as part of their ongoing success strategy, this newly designed role will have overall responsibility for providing proactive environmental technical support to drive continuous improvement at their Manufacturing Business Unit.  A proven ability in delivering the requirements of ISO 14001 and regulatory compliance monitoring and reporting for NSW is essential.

Reporting to the National SHEQ Manager, you will be responsible for leading environmental management and regulatory compliance programs as well as proactively supporting and coaching Line Management and employees in environmental awareness.  From a technical aspect, you will identify and develop environmental innovation processes for energy efficiency, emission reduction, waste management and water conservation to support onsite sustainability practices.

The role will take ownership of environmental data collection and reporting activities at a local level and will interact with key internal and external stakeholders including local community groups to provide assurance that statutory and public obligations are being successfully discharged.

Ideally you will have degree qualifications in environmental engineering or an environmental sciences background, or in other relevant subjects, along with experience working within a heavy duty manufacturing or industrial environment.
